Occupational Structure

By

Definition: The occupational structure of a society is the mix of different types of occupations found there. It also describes the distribution of people among those occupations, which gives some sense of which types of work predominate a society. Occupational structure is sociologically important because of its effects on social class and other forms of social inequality.
